Ebony is my ‘little-15lb’ baby. You’d think he’d be a tough kitty.. but he’s the biggest baby in the house. But he’s an affectionate one that demands attention every now and then.

I have just two words “GO BO!”

With all the season finales just about over, there seems to nothing else to watch. Not like I really should be watching any more TV than I already do. But I find it entertaining and relaxing. Occasionally some of the networks start airing some new TV series, but 1/2 the time they aren’t very good. About the only thing thats good about the summer, its easier to find time to watch movies that I get from Netflix. There’s also a few TV series that I never got to watch that I want to see what the big hoopla was all about.

On a previous trip to Las Vegas, we decided to take book a day trip to the Grand Canyon. I was quite surprised how much fun I had on the guided tour. Along the way we had also stopped at Hoover Dam. We visited the west rim of the Grand Canyon and once we arrived I was awe at how big it really was. I think one of the best parts of this trip was being able to walk to the edge of the rim of the canyon and peering down the canyon. Although the times I did do this, I would experience a bit of vertigo

I must confess, I’m addicted to American Idol. This is the fourth season, and its one of my favorites. I’m entertained week after week with the different contestants performing. I get this thrill of thinking in some respect I control their destiny. Even though one may think, that my call won’t count. But it does!

Compared to previous seasons, I was glad to see this year that my favorite contestant, Bo Bice, was not elimnated early by someone with lesser abilities to sing. I was happy to find out that he is the final two. But I’ve been predicting for weeks, that he would be in the final two with either Carrier or Vonzell. I’m still predicting that Bo will win it all. I thought his acapella performace of “In a Dream” was one of the best (if not the best) performance of all four seasons of Idol.

I don’t know if I helped influence my family, or if they just started watching on their own. But I remember watching parts of season 2 with them during a time when the family was gathering to support each other. Either way now we’re all addicted and gather together weekly to watch the performances on Tuesday nights. Remarkably, we’ve all agreed who we think are good, bad, and please get them off the show now .

This is Scottie. She can be grouchy out times, but she still has her loving moments. Some of her testiness is due to the fact that she has lost almost all of her sight. She still gets around fine around the house even though she’s 15 years old.

This is the first time that I’ve posted a blog. Its a big step for me. Normally, I’m quite private about certain things in my life. I’ve tried to protect my identity over the years and have so far been able to avoid being googled. That may change a bit in the future. Perhaps, it wouldn’t be a bad thing if my blog came up on a google search.

I never know what to talk about or write about. So I’ll start off with a few random thoughts of the day.

Star Wars Episode 3 is opening next week. I’m quite excited about it coming to theaters. I’ve enjoyed all the previous movies, including the original trilogy. I’ve heard reviews where Episode 1 and Episode 2 weren’t that great. I disagree. When I saw Episode 1, I braved the crowds and watched the 12:01am opening of the movie. And I loved it. I found it entertaining, and liked finding out how it first began. However, I could of done without Jar Jar Binks. Episode 2, I also watched the 12:01am opening and again I enjoyed the move. Now, with Episode 3 approaching (and a few years older), I’ve begun to realize that no movie is worth staying up to all hours of the morning just so you can say ‘I saw the first showing’. I always end up leaving the theater very tired, and fighting the crowds to get out of the parking lot. I much rather be sleeping.. especially since I have to work the next morning.

I hate traffic…… its gotten so conjested that sometimes I just want to scream. I get so bored in my car at times, I subject many of friends to my afternoon rush hour phone call. Usually somewhere in the conversation I say.. “hey, check out sigalert.com ….. why is the traffic so yucky on the 57 freeway”
